"Afraid" une autre nouvelle chanson enregistrée pour "Toy" qui plus tard est apparu sur "Heathen". "Afraid" (Toy  version) a une instrumentation légèrement différente et des choeurs supplémentaires. Toutefois, le chant de David a été maintenu sur la  version du disque "Heathen" qui est donc essentiellement un remix, et non pas un ré-enregistrement. le titre fait référence a la chanson "God" de John Lennon.
