Invisible touch

"Invisible Touch" de l'album du même nom est le plus gros succés de la longue carrière de Génésis et le seul numéro 1 aux Etats Unis.

Génésis passa définitivement du statut de groupe de rock progressif à celui de popstars.

"Invisible Touch" est née lors d'une jam pour la deuxième partie d'une autre chanson de l'album "Domino / The Last Domino". Mike semble jouer un riff pendant que Phil improvise la phrase: "Elle semble avoir une main invisible" ("She seems to have a invisible touch").

Se heurtant sur la place de numéro 1 aux States avec un certain Peter Gabriel avec son titre "Sledghammer" , Génésis passa devant en UK avec la place de numéro 3 alors que Peter fut 4 ème.
