 "Wonderful Tonight" est une chanson de Eric Clapton incluse dans l'album Slowhand en 1977.

Clapton écrit "Wonderful Tonight" pour Pattie Boyd alors qu'il l'attend pour aller à une soirée organisée par Paul et Linda McCartney en 1976.

 Pattie Boyd déclara sur cette chanson qu'elle avait été le plus poignant rappel de tout ce qu'était leur relation, et  que quand les choses allaient mal c'était une torture de l'entendre.

"Isn't it a Pity" est une chanson de George Harrison de son premier album solo All Things Must Pass en 1970. Cette chanson avait été refusé par John Lennon trois années auparavant et Harrison avait même envisagé d'offrir la chanson à Frank Sinatra.

Cette chanson fût inspirée par Pattie Boyd qu'il rencontra sur le tournage du film A Hard Day's Night en 1964 et qu'il épousera en 1966.

"Layla and other assorted love songs" était double, "All thing must pass" fût triple, la rivalité de Georges et de Eric pour la belle Pattie se fit également sur disque.

"Layla" est une chanson de blues-rock du groupe Derek and the Dominos emmené par Eric Clapton. Sortie en 1970 sur l'album Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs, cette chanson est considérée comme l'une des plus belles chansons d'amour.

"Layla" a été inspiré à Clapton par l'amour non partagé pour Pattie Boyd la femme de son ami et musicien Georges Harrisson. Clapton aurait joué la chanson pour elle lors d'une fête, et, plus tard le même soir aurait avoué à George qu'il était amoureux de sa femme. La révélation n'a pas causé de bouleversements, Pattie et George restèrent mariés pendant plusieurs années, et Harrison et Clapton ont conservé leur amitié, sans aucun signe apparent de dégâts.

Harrison et Boyd divorcent en 1974 et Clapton épouse la belle Pattie  en 1979. Harrison peu amer au sujet du divorce qu'il assissta même au mariage de son ex et de son meilleur ami qui divorcerons également en 1989.

 Pattie Boyd mannequin et photographe Britannique et surtout ex de Georges Harrisson et Eric Clapton (dans cet ordre) est sûrement la muse qui inspira les plus belles chansons d'amour.

 "Something" chanson des Beatles écrite par Georges Harrisson apparaît sur le disque Abbey Road. Couplée avec "Come Together" de John Lennon, elle atteins la première place aux USA comme dans de très nombreux autres pays (à part en UK ou elle atteins la 4 ème place). Seul numéro 1 de Georges Harrisson avec les Beatles il réalisera cet exploit encore 3 fois en solo avec "My Sweet Lord" en 1970, "Give me Love" en 1973 et "Got My Mind Set On You" en 1988.

"Something" est la chanson des Beatles la plus reprise après "Yesterday" avec entre autres des versions de Joe Cocker (pour qui elle fût destinée au départ), Issac ayes, Shirley Bassey (dont la version atteins également la 4 ème place au Royaume Uni), Martha and the Vandellas, Ray Charles (qui était la personne que Harrison avait en tête comme chanteur lorsqu'il écrivit la chanson), Ike and Tina Turner, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra (qui pensait que "Something" était « la meilleure chanson d'amour jamais écrite » et affirma même une fois qu'il s'agissait de la « composition Lennon/McCartney » qu'il préférait ignorant qu'elle était de Georges), James Brown, Julio Iglesias, et Smokey Robinson. Les versions de Smokey Robinson et de James Brown étaient les préférées de Georges Harrisson.

 Sa plus célèbre balade fut inspirée par son épouse d'alors, Pattie Boyd, à qui ce texte semble être adressé et aux côtés de qui il se montre dans le clip vidéo de la chanson.
